Kings South Africa Medal OBE/MBE This is the 2nd type

This is the 2nd type OBE awarded from 1936 and is awarded to the present date

instead each allied country issued its own victory medal using the same ribbon and an effigy of the figure of Victory - except Japan who used a traditional Samurai Warrior

it also became available to Naval junior officers

It was later made available to equivalent ranks in the RN and Army for acts of valour in the air

Awarded for one days service to all aircrew

Kings South Africa Medal OBE/MBE This is the 2nd typeAwarded to those who served in South Africa during 1901 and 1902, always issued with the Queen's medal and usually issued with the two date bars. There are rare instances of a single clasp and as with the Queen's medal, awards to nurses are usually found without clasp regardless of entitlement to them.
