3 Marrow-Gnawer, and Thornbite Staff Infinite creature tokens in mono-black are pretty rare, and it's even better when it uses the go-to rat tribal commander, Marrow-Gnawer
I think Stalwart Unity managed to squeeze a pleasant legacy out of this complicated set
The uses for this card are many, and though the ceiling is only ever as high as what your opponents are playing, the floor is solid: being able to re-cast a Swords to Plowshares or Cultivate as a red player is more than enough to make you happy
It is unusable normally until you have your five mana and can still present a risk of death once you have five should they have any way to disrupt your mana production
I loved the depth of the theme and the fact that it has playable creatures after making it through Ice Age , Alliances , and Homelands
