There's the odd bit of flair in type- or Pokmon-specific benefits to the gym leader cards, with one for each of the original Indigo League's eight leaders from Pokmon Red, Blue, and Yellow - Koga, for instance, lets you pick up an active Weezing card and its pre-evolution Koffing and put them back in your hand, making it a handy stalling or recycling tactic
The first impulse might be to throw three of these guys down on your bench with Hoopa-EX at the beginning of the game and then hit for 30 extra damage every turn, but that would clog up your bench, not to mention give your opponent several targets to strand in the Active spot with Lysandre
Controllers of the Enchantment can easily cast it early-game given that it's only a two-cost (one white and one colorless) card
With flying, trample, and haste, it comes out swinging right away, and when it connects, you draw cards and pile on +1/+1 counters equal to the number of different permanent types in your graveyard, turning every sacrifice into fuel for both power and card advantage
