Earthbending allows players to turn any land they control into a creature with haste and a number of +1/+1 counters on it
It refills your hand as you react to your opponents plays, and you can surround it with other cards that pay you off for your first spell
Add to that the fact that you have to make it to your next upkeep once you've fulfilled the condition, and it's pretty clear this card is bait
From that point on, they cant cast spells or activate abilities, and they have to reveal their hands
On the other side, youve got bangers like Grim Tutor, which even after six versions in the past three years is still nearly $20, or Bloom Tender, which is roughly the same price despite a reprint in Double Masters 2022
There are more commanders that work in this space these days, but the Bant colors serve the walls archetype well
