Longs Peak stands high above Bear Lake during this summer morning in Rocky Mountain National Park

I was thinking where I would photograph the sunrise and thought that the bridge over a frozen South Fork Kishwaukee River and the peachleaf willow tree would be a good place to set up the tripod

There are many common milkweed plants in this part of the park

A song sparrow looks out over the landscape while perched doing the splits before continuing to chirp to the world on this cool spring morning at Wildflower Park

They feed on cattails and other aquatic plants
