I came upon these three (one off camera) green herons up in this dead peachleaf willow tree along Eakin Creek West at Wildflower Park

Cup plants (silphium perfoliatum) grow abundantly around the South Fork Kishwaukee River and throughout much of Wildflower Park reaching heights of over 6 feet

slow meandering with some nice reflections from the surrounding subjects

Definitely a beautiful morning to be out enjoying these kinds of misty sunrises at Wildflower Park

I was fascinated watching a few common loons swim and then dive to try and catch fish to reenergize throughout the morning.
