Being able to produce one mana of any color allows for a more varied deck, without having to put in a bunch of lands to power a couple of cards
Put cards in sleeves (a card should NEVER , not even for 1 second, be "naked"!) Double-sleeve your cards (first put them in tight-fitting sleeves, then put them in a slightly bigger sleeves)
Eventually - eventually - I cast a Hostile Interrogator that took their last two cards (both Go for the Throats I knew about from seeing their hand earlier)
Even Fang and Vanille, who are in the uncommon slot, can come in this treatment
It does make the deck very top heavy which in turn requires a sturdy mana base
