In trying to round out the list, I tried to pull together a set of cards that were a) in need of reprint, b) make sense in the EV calculations for the set and c) fulfill the nostalgia/MTG history requirements

It is not played loads but is always impressive when it is

1 Umori, The Collector Most of Ikorias companions can make use of their infamous mechanic in Commander, provided you can stretch their conditions out over 100 cards, but they can also be used as commanders in the traditional sense if youd prefer

Just spend some mana and counters await

Whether or not thats going to actually be handy in the new Into the Inklands season is yet to be seen

The deck is still viable as far as starter decks go, but its much better as a foundation for a future deck once youve put the cards into action and seen how the gears turn
