Desert Linen Shawl - Rainbow Mary Aldrich Drawing from the cupolas ofOur Khadi desert shawls are hand spun, hand woven cloths from India through fair trade co ops, composed of three ply linen yarn. The linen is first spun into yarn on a charkha, a spinning wheel, and then hand dyed exclusively for Garza Marfa. The yarn is then woven on a handloom to produce our shawls designed by us in Marfa, Texas. Khadi has long been known for its ability to keep the wearer warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
