Yak wool keeps extremely warm and is very soft. It comes from the down of the yak, the layer closest to a yak's body called khullu. The fiber is taken by hand in the months of June and July. This scarf is undyed and made from the rare beige yak wool called "khullu khampa". hand spun and hand woven 100% yak wool from Ladakh
